Football Update – Season 2026

We are thrilled to announce that Simon Maddox and Angus Byrne will lead the Echuca Football Netball Club as our Senior Coaches for the 2026 season. Angus makes his return home after a short stint in Noosa and is absolutely pumped to be back at his home club. A premiership player with strong relationships and deep connections to the playing group, Angus is eager to help drive this team forward. Simon will continue to lead from the front, bringing his wealth of experience, knowledge, and a proven record of coaching success. His support will be invaluable for both Angus and the entire playing group.

Troy Murphy will coach our Reserves and will be assisted by Darcy Hall while Damien Slater will lead our Under 18s assisted by Stephen Orr and Kane Henson. We are extremely fortunate to have such a high calibre coaching group which will ensure that our teams and players continue to develop and improve. We welcome all new and existing players to season 2026. Our coaching team are excited by the talent at our club and are confident that all teams will be very competitive in their respective grades. Our season will begin on 4 April against Tatura.

We are absolutely buzzing for what’s ahead – 2026 is shaping up to be massive, and we can’t wait to see what this group can achieve together.
