Like all community sporting competitions, Netball was impacted by COVID-19 again in 2021.  This forced break has brought renewed enthusiasm to our club as we approach season 2022 in the hope that we have a season reasonably unaffected. It is more important than ever that our coaches, players, and committee recognise that we will need to be agile, flexible, and resilient.

The club has made the following coaching appointments for season 2022, Belinda Lees – Development Coach, Steph Vick – A Grade, Gina Pearson – B Grade, Kristine Oliver & Greta Pearson – U/17s and Gina Pearson – U/15s. We are extremely fortunate to have such a high-quality coaching group which will ensure that our teams and players continue to develop and improve.

Pre-season training commenced in November with selection trials being held in early February. We would like to welcome all new players to our club and hope that you enjoy your netball at Echuca. It is pleasing to see the number of players who have been training over the summer months, the standard of training has been excellent and competition for spots in our teams will be extremely high. Our coaching team are excited by the talent at our club and confident that all teams will be competitive in their respective grades for 2022.
The first centre pass of the much-awaited GVL Netball season occurs on Saturday 9th April, we look forward to seeing you at the Netball in season 2022.
